The source of inspiration that gave birth to this record is the song “70 Refugees”, which is based on a true story that appeared on local newspapers a few years ago. This song criticizes the way in which the press and the politicians speculated on the case of 70 black men suspected of raping a woman, but never accused of that crime, since it has never been confirmed by DNA testing. In order to find a culprit – preferably a foreign, poor and black one – the worst and most influential forces of our sad society reacted furiously and launched a manhunt that led to nothing concretely, but that inevitably sowed the seed of racism in our minds and culture.
